New Bill Bans Religious Conversion and Evangelism in Nepal

Nepal parliament recently passed a law that criminalizes religious conversions and evangelism, and now the faithful there are calling for amendments that will protect Christians who want to spread the Good News of the Gospel, reports The Christian Post . The recently passed law, adds The Christian Post, could further escalate Christian persecution. The Tide   has heard touching stories of what it’s like for Christians to live in a Muslim-majority country. After listening to The Tide Gospel radio programming, one listener in Albania shared her powerful testimony. Director Don Shenk reports that Ida, a university professor, recently told the ministry that she regularly listens to a Tide radio program and talks about Christianity with her students. “I listen to Radio 7 all the time, and the broadcast has literally changed my life,” Ida shared. “I’m a university professor, and I believe God has placed me in the midst of students to make a difference for God’s Kingdom. UNICEF Reports That Children Are Being Used as ‘Human Bombs’ in Nigeria

UNICEF recently reported disturbing news out of Nigeria, where Boko Haram insurgents are using children as “human bombs” in the northeast part of the country. According to UNICEF, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, the past year has seen a four-fold increase in the number of children, especially girls, used as suicide bombers. A UNICEF spokesperson told the Voice of America news outlet that 83 children were forced into these missions—55 girls under the age of 15 and 27 boys—that target markets, schools, universities and displacement camps.
