The Tide® Gospel Radio Ministry Planning Bus Trip to Museum of the Bible

We are planning a trip of its own to the nation’s capital! This fall, The Tide ministry is hosting a bus trip to the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., where participants will learn the origins of the Bible so they can more ably share the gospel here at home.

“For The Tide ministry, creatively sharing the gospel on continents around the world is our mission,” said The Tide Director Don Shenk. “But intimately knowing God’s Word and sharing Jesus’ saving grace and eternal hope in our own backyards is the duty of all Christians. We pray this trip to the Museum of the Bible will open our eyes to the wonders of God’s Word, enable us to bring the Savior to life for others and to never lose sight of the fact that people everywhere need Jesus.”

On Oct. 25 from 7:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., travelers will engage in a self-guided walking tour of the Museum of the Bible and enjoy an evening meal together on the way home.

Cost is $95 per person and includes transportation from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, museum admittance and dinner. The group will also receive early admission to the museum, expedited entry, a personal group host, and 20 percent off merchandise at the museum gift shop.

Six floors of exciting biblical exhibits await visitors to the Museum of the Bible. Marking its grand opening to the public in November 2017, Museum of the Bible’s 430,000-square-foot building is located just three blocks from the U.S. Capitol and aims to be among the most technologically advanced and engaging museums in the world. The grand entrance welcomes visitors with two 40-foot high bronze panels flanked by an architectural re-creation of the printing bed of the first page of Genesis from the Gutenberg Bible. Showcasing rare and fascinating artifacts spanning 3,500 years of history, the museum offers visitors an immersive and personalized experience with the Bible, and its ongoing impact on the world.

Also going on now at the Museum of the Bible is a special multimedia exhibit dedicated to the life, work and memory of Billy Graham. “Pilgrim Preacher: Billy Graham, the Bible, and the Challenges of the Modern World,” running at the museum through Jan. 27, 2019, will include rare artifacts, never-before-seen photos and video footage. Visitors will see how the ministry of “America’s Pastor” influenced religion, society and politics. Read more about the Billy Graham exhibit here.
