During August 2019 The Tide ministry conducted a Leader to Leader mission trip to Zimbabwe. One of our twelve team members was Emma, who is currently a student at Lancaster Bible College where she is majoring in Communications with a goal to eventually serve God through working with non-profit organizations like The Tide ministry. The following is a letter Emma wrote to thank the many people who made financial contributions to send her with The Tide team and prayed for her while she ministered in Zimbabwe. We share it here because it expresses so well how all of our team members feel about our time in Zimbabwe and those who made it possible for us to be there. Hi Friends and Family! I bring you greetings from my sweet friends in Zimbabwe. I am now home from our 10-day trip, and full of joy reminiscing about our trip. I returned to the US on Saturday, just a few short days ago, and then moved back to Lancaster Bible College to start the new semester on Sunday. The semester has be
The Tide has heard touching stories of what it’s like for Christians to live in a Muslim-majority country. After listening to The Tide Gospel radio programming, one listener in Albania shared her powerful testimony. Director Don Shenk reports that Ida, a university professor, recently told the ministry that she regularly listens to a Tide radio program and talks about Christianity with her students. “I listen to Radio 7 all the time, and the broadcast has literally changed my life,” Ida shared. “I’m a university professor, and I believe God has placed me in the midst of students to make a difference for God’s Kingdom. I often share my faith with my students and encourage them to search for God and know Him.” Ida’s brave decision to share her testimony with her students can actually be a dangerous one. According to a recent Associated Press article, Albania has heightened its security efforts due to terror threats and attacks in Europe. Police have increased their presence at co
An integral part of The Tide’s mission is to not only lead people into a relationship with Jesus Christ, but to also disciple them in their newfound faith and to equip them to share their faith with others. This is why The Tide, in addition to producing and airing evangelistic radio broadcasts, also holds Seekers Conferences to disciple the people who have just become a Christian or who want to learn more about what they are hearing through The Tide radio programs. In India The Tide partners with Good News Hour to not only produce radio programs, but to also organize and conduct Seekers Conferences throughout the year. Good News Hour is the registered counterpart of The Tide ministry in India, and as such submits regular reports to The Tide headquarters in the USA. What follows are excerpts from a recent report on a series of Seekers Conferences in one Indian state. After much time spent with the Lord in prayer, and with God’s help, the Good News Hour was able to conduct fo
